My Priorities if Elected to the San Mateo County Board of Education

• 3 of the 5 lowest funded school districts are in District 5, Burlingame, Pacifica, and Millbrae. In addition the lowest funded High School District, Jefferson Union High School District has 2 schools in District 5. My goal is to increase funding to our school districts by establishing a group of both school board members and our labor partners to bring solutions to outrstate Senator and Assembly Representatives.
• Increase efficient uses of taxpayer dollars and school budgets by having the County Board of Education assume responsibility to bring more services to the ALL-school districts. My solution is to have the County Office of Education, COE, do the research and background actions so that we do not have 23 school districts reinventing the wheel. A district can then choose or not choose to be a part of the COE contract. I would use this method for bringing Artificial
Intelligence, some electives, and other programs into the classroom.
